Lean Six Sigma is a set of methods and tools to improve the effectiveness (six sigma to reduce defects & deviations) and efficiency (lean) of business processes. The objective is to satisfy your customers by meeting their quality & service requirements, at a price they accept as fair value, whilst your costs are minimised and hence profits maximised.

If the Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt course is completed outside an apprenticeship then the candidate will receive a certificate from GO SIX SIGMA.

However, for the additional cost of the exam entry only, the candidate can sit the IASSC exam an should they pass receive a IASSC certificate which is internationally recognised.

This applies also to the apprenticeship model where the costs will not be covered by the levy and must be paid by either the employer or employee.

The Yellow belt is a 60 question on line paper, whilst the Green belt is 100 questions.

This course is a very basic introduction to Lean Six Sigma, what benefits it can bring to both manufacturing and service sector businesses, and how it will impact employees of the business.

The course is not certified by an exam or project work.

It is aimed at employees ahead of Lean Six Sigma implementation in their area. Also to executives, senior managers or business owners so that they can learn enough to help them decide that Lean Six Sigma is for them.

For executives, senior managers or business owners following the course I recommend a further conversation to discuss the needs of the business and the best options for the continuous improvement journey this wish to embark upon.
